The Little Snob
A 20-Part Series For ARTE TV On Luxury And Style
The Little Snob is a TV magazine programme inspired by two great quotes from the incomparable Oscar Wilde:
“Let me be surrounded by luxury — I can do without the necessities.”
and
“I am a man of simple tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.”
The Little Snob is steeped in irony, but this doesn’t prevent the programme from exploring the substantial side of the finer things in life. A very special consumer magazine — elegant, stylish, refined, with a snobby sense of humour and a generous helping of hard-nosed information. It often turns out that the very best food and clothing is also the most sustainable. From Irish organic salmon farms to the finest chocolate makers at Valrhona, deep in the French Rhône Valley.
A magazine with a twinkle in its eye, featuring German fashion icon Wolfgang Joop as a regular contributor, alongside interviews on taste and style with Giorgio Armani, Bryan Ferry, Europe’s greatest chef Alain Ducasse, writer Philippe Djian, British rock stars Francis Rossi and Elvis Costello, Olympic ski champion Markus Wasmeier, clown legend Oleg Popov, Winnetou star Pierre Brice, and the world’s renowned fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh.
The Little Snob gained cult status in part for its stylish, avant-garde graphic design. Watch the trailer!
